NFIP EXTENDED TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2026
On February 3, 2026, President Trump signed into law, H.R. 7148,the “Consolidated Appropriations, Act, 2026,” which ended the brief partial government shutdown and included an extension of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) through September 30, 2026.
Congress must now reauthorize the NFIP by 11:59 p.m. on September 30, 2026.
